So following on from my post on mummy make up (with help from the amazing Kevin Fortune), I wanted to share my favourite ‘celeb mum’ looks with you! Now, granted, we all don’t get to swing around looking amazing in our Louboutins like Victoria Beckham or have the A list help when it comes to styling but I do like to see what the new celebrity mums styles are and how they cope with new mum looks! They have so much help from stylists, trend setters and all round fashion and make up Guru’s – I always have a little nosey!
Beyonce looks so beautiful and natural here with baby Blue Ivy. Rocking a red lip, clean skin and little eye make up; she has pushed her hair away (crucial for those nappy changing times). She also ROCKED the baby carrier look below. Sunglasses to hide dark eyes? Check! Cool hat CHECK! Comfortable trousers….CHECK!
Fearne herself has often quote the power of lipstick. Here, the look is slightly rock chick with a pink lip. By adding some eyeliner, her look is really funky but achievable. Perfect for glamming up for a mum get together or rare break from baby!
Gisele below does no wrong does she?! Channeling a soft smoky grey eye with lots mascara, good foundation and a nude lip.
And who can forget the blooming Kate Middelton? Proudly showing off that post birthing bump and looking naturally pretty.
I think all new mums have a certain glow after birth – it may not be super model strength like Gisele or ‘styletastic’ like Queen Bey above but, hey. You have just delivered your baby and in my eyes, you look pretty amazing!
Would love to hear any make up tips from you! Did you find getting ready a struggle? What was the biggest obstacle for you in terms of a make up routine? I must admit, I became an absolute whizz at quick looks and when Finley was little would often stroll around department stores, trying out looks, having mini makeovers and getting to know my skin. With sleepness nights and a lot of breastfeeding – I needed to rethink my make up look! I opted for minimum skin coverage, lots of mascara and a neutral lip gloss. For when I felt brave, I headed to MAC and picked up my favourite Red Lipstick for a bit of VAVAVOOM!
