Well girls, its that time of year again, yes we are near enough to the end of November to realise its time to get all glammed up for the Christmas party season. As if you are not bombarded enough with all the yummy food adverts out at the moment to get your appetites enticed for Xmas, which by the way is very unhelpful if like me you are trying the Little Black Dress (LBD) diet to get in shape for the festive season. The pressure is on! And I for one am determined to find the perfect LBD for me. Every year I try and find the best dresses on the market to suit my shape and style. There is a lot of choice on offer, this in itself can be daunting. Remember the key thing here is, there is a dress to suit all shapes and sizes. I have done my research to find what’s hot on the high street and the Celebrities who are rocking gorgeous frocks on the red carpet. As we know we all like to show up at a Christmas party feeling like Nicole Sherzinger (we can but dream)

So here are my tips on the latest trends out, hope you enjoy! Remember to dress to suit yourself and if you feel confident you will reflect this in what you wear.

So firstly we have the long and elegant LBD famously sported here by Victoria Beckham at the Bambi awards. This look is simply stunning and it is great if you want to accentuate all the right curves.  The simple design means some lovely statement earrings or bracelet would work well here but I would let the dress do the talking and not over accessorise.

The look for less

Another example of classy and elegant here would be Anne Hathaway in this muted and sophisticated number. Perfect if you want a dress to take you from the office to a swanky dinner. Simply turn hair into a volumised mane by night and sport either some smoky eyes or red lipstick and your good to go. (Remember to pick one focus though folks, either the eyes or lips for glam) Less is more.

What the High Street and Online retailer has to offer

Here we have ‘The Sexy Sofia’ an uber sexy LBD courtesy of our very own MIW website which you can purchase direct. It comes in sizes XS-L so there is one to accommodate all sizes. The strapless back gives this look extra wow factor and will definitely turn heads at your Christmas party. The price is £79.99 .

Happy shopping! x

This lace and velvet dress from Oasis.com is one of The Saturdays members Mollie King’s designs and I love it. Check out the ‘Loved by Mollie range’ for more fashion gems. The mesh and lace detail is bang on trend this season and what I love most about this dress is the detailing. The clash of patterns works really well. Team with a pair of killer heels or ankle boots to match and you are ready to go.

Below is my attempt at the LBD striking my best fierce pose. I love this dress and the contour to it, the Peplum style is a great way of accentuating your natural curves.  The hair and make up artist managed to get my hair to go into a shape I never thought it would go. Its amazing what you can do with some Kirby grips and a lot of hairspray, get experimenting!
I would love to know what your thoughts are on this particular look. Be nice 🙂
