I have got to say girls, I am ecstatic that this trend is back. I have always been a fan ever since teen band Bewitched worked the denim look back in the nineties. Anyone else remember dancing round to C’est La Vie, or was that just me? Either way, after the nineties, the denim on denim look became a no go all together, so why is it back now? Well as you know what goes around comes around with fashion, and some trends never die. This time it is back with a noughties revamp and ready to reclaim its place in the fashion world.
Take a look at my guide on how to pull this look off, and where to get your denims from.
Key things to remember about this look is you can be daring and mix two tone shades of denim, or keep the shades the same, and accessorise to your hearts content.
How the celebs are working their denims…….
l love the way Kim Kardashian wears her denims, shows off her killer curves, and looks more sophisticated/chic with the elegant use of the kitten heels, and especially with the added pastel pink on trend jacket, to add a pop of colour.
Or, as you can see, you can keep this look laid back and casual, by sporting loosely fitted denims, like Katie Holmes, or co-ordinate them like Kourtney Kardashian shows below.
I have got to say though, my favourite double denim look of the season is being modelled by Mollie King for Maybelline. These two looks are perfect to bring that modern twist, you can go for the two tone look by pairing a faded denim top with some white jeans, or just mixing two different shades of blue denim, and adding a splash of tan accessories.
Where to get this look
Well, as usual, I have been hunting high and low for some fab finds to help you create the look. My first outfit is courtesy of Asos.
